Mention Penn State to anyone anywhere, and the first thing that’s likely to come up is football. But Penn State is also home to a myriad of other competitive sports. and it just so happens that, locally, we latched on—from a very early age—to Penn State men’s basketball.
New Years Eve plans made easy! First Night is a New’s Year’s Eve event that offers ice sculptures, musical performances, carriage rides, ice skating, craft-making, a 5k race, improv, puppet shows, and the infamous ice slide.
My experience as a student who struggled in school led me to long for an alternative path—both as a student and, ultimately, as a teacher. We are fortunate to have more than one option for our students here in State College.
As my wife and I enter the empty-nest stage, we are starting to reminisce about what it was like raising our two children in the State College area.
